samsom: (vomit anyone)
I have just recently finished some needed cleaning and now the smell of Pine Sol permeates my domecile - fooling me for a little while that everything is clean. Laundry is good to go, everyone is showered and rested (except me) and in a very short time, we are going out to gorge ourselves on Chinese food. YUM.

there is a ridiculous amount of vomit talk beneath the cut, not for the squeamish )

And I downloaded three new songs yesterday.

Face to the Floor by Chevelle. Reminds me of Tool a lot, who are becoming my favorite band ever after Metallica.

Buried Alive by Avenged Sevenfold. This song is so like something Metallica would do, how could I not love it?

Narcissistic Cannibal by Korn, featuring Skrillex. Narcissistic Cannibal. Come on! What's not to love??

I love good rock music, don't you? *g*

I've been getting to know The Bionic Woman again on YouTube and I ran across this video a couple of months ago. The way the video is done recalls some of Joss' themes of BtVS - and when I got to know Jaime Sommers again I also noticed that she and Buffy Summers seem to share a few things in common - so much so I thought I'd repost it here and see what you all thought. Even Buffy's relationship with Giles is echoed a bit towards the end, and the theme of (re)claiming your life from the people who would steal it from you.

George Michael and his hips did a lot for my budding sexuality. He's a smexy little pirate in this vid. :)

Very, very cool, and extremely well edited Angelus/Cordelia vid - short but effective.

I'm linking instead of embedding in case anyone feels like leaving comments.

Short but gorgeous little C/A vid using a voice over by Dana Scully from the X-Files.

The last few seconds will hurt so good, you'll have to watch it again.

Give it a watch and then feed the vid maker. She's got talent. :)

This video is why I adore fandom, and why I don't think I'll ever leave. :D

The future of music isn't completely dire...this girl...her voice...omg.

Although...the the video is troubling. On the one hand, it seems to be saying that the vid is ALL about her amazing voice. No flashy dancers and gimmicks. On the other hand, is she seated throughout, in a goregous but stately dress, because of her weight? Hmmm.

Also, don't read the comments. Most of them are wonderful but there are some amazingly douchey comments on her weight.

Since we didn't get THE Rapture today, I offer up Blondie's Rapture. Cuz you can dance to this one.

*dances shamelessly bad*
samsom: (who do you love)
Because dammit, I refuse to be the only C/A shipper left in tears by it!

Excuse me, I need to go look for some fluff to offset the utter angst and tragedy of this amazing, beautiful, awesome ship.

from The Visit....

to share this that I heard on the radio yesterday right before I left for work. Thank God the DJ had a lot of requests for this because he said who it was.

Idiot Vevo won't let me embed so if you follow the's a great song, very different than what I'm used to.

I am passionately in love with this song, featuring this singer. The vid...okay, the band is a bit coiffed, and the video reminds me - not in a good way - of GnR's November Rain, and it gets cheesy as hell towards the end....but it's not deterring from the strength of Brent Smith's vocals or the lyrics at all.

Stupid thing won't embed so here's a link:

One of the great pleasures of my life is watching someone do what they are masters at. Here are two of them, and they are mesmerizing.

Yet another reason to love the '80s, yes? :P

he's one of the best reasons for living in this world, have some Sting, my peeps. :)

This is my most favorite Sting video ever. His voice is amazing.
