Reccing for newbies

hannasus commented to me recently and that made me go back and read one of her fanfics, of the best pieces of fanfic I've ever encountered. It just happens to be a C/A fic, post You're Welcome. I'm reccing it again in case the newbies to the C/A ship haven't run across it yet.

It's beautiful and spare and....if anyone's ever lost anyone beloved to them....it rings with truth and grief. hannasus did good when she wrote this and she deserved every bit of feedback she got - and still gets, nearly five years after writing it.

Awww, you guys. You're making me all verklempt. This was the first thing I ever felt proud of writing, and I wrote it after my mom died, so it means so much to know that it touched others. Watching Angel reruns every night got me through those long hard days when my mom was sick, and it's always been my comfort fandom--the one I come back to when I need a pick-me-up. And the fact that people still think about something I wrote after all these years? Amazing. Ya'll are the sweetest.

Thank you for the rec. I don't know how I've missed it before. I'm all tear-streaked now, but in such a cathartic way. This fic is Beauty.
