I knew it, but it's good to have the confirmation.

My ob/gyn left me a message on voice mail.

The amniocentesis results came back.

My little guy is healthy and normal. I don't think I actually posted about this part, but after I was told about the possibility of my daughter's tonsil being swollen due to a tumor, some blood work done because of my age showed some abnormal indicators about the baby inside me.

The pathology on my baby girl's tonsil came back.

Normal.

I was 38 when I had my son and opted out of the amniocentesis because of this thing I have regarding big, scary needles. But I am relieved that everything is okay.

When it was time to do it after the ultrasound, and they started ripping the plastic off their instruments, I turned my head so far away, it nearly popped off and bounced across the room. But the needle going in, breaking through about four layers, I arched hard without actually moving, and I may have......screamed........a little. Heh.

But the blood test I did in Dec. came back with oddness, and the doc said my risks were greater, so I couldn't go through the next five months without knowing. So. But yeah, if I hadn't had those indicators, no way would I volunteer to get poked. I love vampire stuff, but I can't even watch them draw my blood.

And I'm very glad things are okay as well. I hate being emo girl.

The thing is, I know how easily it could have gone in the other direction. It happens to people who don't deserve it every day, so I am thankful enough to fall to my knees and thank the universe for its mercy.
