Charisma Carpenter

I popped Carpe Nectum into my computer to research a point, and for fun, I watched the beginning - I love the whole 'eunuch' talk - and I swear, I didn't hear half of what was being said because I could not take my eyes off Cordelia's cleavage. That dress was positively modest by early s3 standards, but it....uh...fit...her so well. Without being tight.

I also liked how Angel paired himself with Cordelia when it was time to split up and investigate. She said she's driving, and he gave in with a nod and a shrug. lol

CC's tat played peekaboo during the scene where Cordelia tasers Angel's body. Loved that whole outfit. It should have been a dream to dress that woman - how in the hell they had the nerve to put her in those fugly outfits towards the end of the season is beyond me.

I skipped the middle parts of the episode because body stealing....well, it's been done. Plus seeing Angel's body making out with Lilah....*shakes head* no. Usually doesn't squick me but I felt like Angel was swooping on Wesley's girl. Weird, I know, but there you go.

When I was doing my ATS rewatch for research, I couldn't help but be like "holy crap, she is so hot." They did put her in some fugass outfits, that is for sure. But sometimes, sometimes they hit it just right and she is HAWTNESS!

Jeezus, from Hearthrob - where she was giving me such a Lois Lane vibe - to...hmmm, just about when Darla showed up, her outfits rocked as a standard.

Even when they tried to make her look worn out at the beginning of Birthday, she just ended up looking tousled. Like Angel had been wrestling with her in his bed right before she went downstairs to scrub the lobby floor.

Hmmm. Fic idea......

OMG YES! I'm sure Angel had a birthday present of his own he wanted to give her before the gang showed up.

You gotta write this. Let the muse run free and let those two beautiful people fuck each other's brains out!

Yeah, I think I've got my next Spring_of_Cordy entry. *snorts*

You mean another present? He had that small box in his hand right before those interlopers brought that cake out....I wonder if he ever got enough privacy to give it to her later on. Whatever it was, he didn't want to share in front of the others.

[identity profile] xlivvielockex.livejournal.com 2009-04-01 06:19 am (UTC)(link)
Well, that was the tangible present. I'm sure he gave her his very special "package" earlier. loL

And I wonder about that a lot too. It would have been nice to see what it was in canon, you know?

[identity profile] samsom.livejournal.com 2009-04-01 06:25 am (UTC)(link)
Well, he's done the Claddagh Ring, so...lol

Something he picked up in Tibet, and was waiting for the right time to give it to her? Or maybe something he saw her admiring once, in a catalog or going by a window, and then decided he'd get it for her? It's nice to speculate. My personal opinion is that it was a ring or something similiar, since that box fit into his pocket. Damn those people for not focusing on the important aspects of an episode!

[identity profile] xlivvielockex.livejournal.com 2009-04-01 06:27 am (UTC)(link)
I lean towards the ring too. Something either like topaz or emerald, to help bring out the hazel of her eyes. I mean, it was the right size for a ring box. Or a nice necklace pendant. But he already got her a necklace. One that brought out her breasts!

Blue box from Tiffany's?

[identity profile] samsom.livejournal.com 2009-04-01 06:30 am (UTC)(link)
It's within the realm of YES!

He's cheap but when it comes to Cordelia, he spends like a king - the clothes, the expensive dinner to celebrate her getting a national commercial, the necklace...it makes sense that he'd go to THE name in jewelry for something that important. This is Cordelia. She'd know.

[identity profile] xlivvielockex.livejournal.com 2009-04-01 06:36 am (UTC)(link)
And we know that she told him it during Bachelor Party

Cordy: "So, here I am at Le Petite Renard with Mr. Armani, who could keep me in blue boxes for the rest of my life.."
Angel: "Blue boxes?"
Cordy: "Tiffany's! God!"

Angel might have been dumb but he wasn't THAT stupid that he wouldn't have remembered that exchange. And considering he always valued Cordelia's opinion (You think I'm fat? and Cordelia... thinks I'm melodramatic?) you know he would get her the best.

[identity profile] samsom.livejournal.com 2009-04-01 03:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Because she deserved it. *sigh*

She also deserves a good seeing to. They both do.

Let's see what we can do about that, shall we?? *gets British-y*

Promises, promises. :)

I LOVE Angel's obvious jealousy in the gym scene. Awesome. Actually, I loved every C/A scene in this episode...barring the ridiculousness of attempting to suggest that Cordelia wouldn't know Fake!Angel a mile off. The girl knew his insides by then...

Hee! Key stealing icon! ;)

[identity profile] samsom.livejournal.com 2009-04-01 03:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Knew him guts to garters...or something. But YES! The gym scene. LOL! Gotta love the way he cupped her shoulders there for a second, showing the boys she's really not that available. Yummy though she is. *dreamy sigh*

I agree with [livejournal.com profile] gabs186 that Cordelia really would have known that it wasn't really Angel. or at least suspected something pretty quickly.

Charisma Carpenter definitely makes me wonder about myself sometimes. If any woman were to make me go for women, it'd be her.

I think they took the easy way out sometimes, in order to tell their episode story they ignored certain character traits that were obvious to the audience. But that was the major problem with AtS after a time, the characters began to serve the story rather than the story serving the characters.

But that's another rant for another day. :D

Yes, she IS the only woman that I wouldn't pass up the chance with, straight or not. :D
