On Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern: Maine, a guest was heard to ask Zimmern:
"Is this your first time eating beaver?"
How that man kept a straight face I'll never know.

Man, I love that show. Are you sure he didn't chuckle a bit? He was totally on the verge of laughing when he was going through the Santaria rituals in Cuba.
What is so funny to me, and my mom and I have talked about this, is that a lot of the foods he eats aren't bizarre in my family. Especially when he goes to South America, we just roll our eyes and don't watch that episode. Or he eats stuff that I grew up eating.
It's just kind of funny that what is bizarre to a Jewish guy is commonplace to others. Then again, I will still never understand gefilte fish. That is bizarre foods to me. :)

What's not weird to you that he's eaten? I'm curious. Not sure I ever want him to do a show on Thailand. I don't need to know what peeps in the Motherland are eating that would make the grade on his show. :D In my world, it's all noodle soup, curry with chicken and the best won-ton soup in South East Asia.
