Ick

Watched Waiting In The Wings this morning getting ready for work.

Poor Angel - the hopeful, soft look on his face when he approached Cordy in the hotel, stumbling while trying to tell her how he feels -

the utter stupidity of having Groo show up.

A brilliant writer like Joss shouldn't have to resort to soap-like plot devices for shock. The only thing I could think of is Groo was there to get Cordy away from LA, so that Wes would have absolutely no one to turn to, so he could kidnap Connor and change everyone's lives.

If I didn't wank it the way I did, I coudln't watch Ats beyond the third season.

Angel shoulda cold-cocked Groo, grabbed Cordelia and lock them both up in his room so he could kiss her to her senses.

Um, did I say Word?

Even better: Not haff Darla return with a 'miracle' pregnancy.

That woulda maybe given a chance for C/A to 'bond' a little more,

ooo! what if Fred/Lorne hadn't spouted all that Moiira/etc crap?

Oh, darn *pokes you*

Now lookee what you done *sighage*

My Muse hath stirred. *runs to see if she can grab Lysa for a powpow*

I have watched WitW many times before, but this morning, I was just disgusted with the whole 'angst for the sake of angst' crap Joss throws out there. Angel approaching Cordy with those puppy dog hopeful eyes, opening up in a way that he's rarely done before, and knowing that Groo was behind him...it's like pulling wings off a fly. Painful and pointless.

Yup, they basically had Cordy ripping his heart out...and it continued from there, and all the way through S4.

Still bear The Major Grudge. Way to assassinate a main character and tear apart Angel all in one fell swoop. Nice one, you daft T**t ('scuse the bad *'s)
