Monday morning blahs
Nov. 6th, 2006 08:43 amSo, I was watching Go Fish a little while ago. It's an okay episode on rewatch, though how the coach got his hands on secret Russian experiments is still a little far fetched. But the scoobie team work was in full force, and nice to see again.
I noticed a couple of things.
Cordelia draws! In Couplet I thought it was a little out of left field when she sketched the demon she saw in her apartment - the one she showed to Angel the next day - but there she was, sketching a sea monster while Xander described it to her. I'd almost think it was a thread of continuity except her 'Angel' business card got ridiculed regularly for not looking like an angel, and the blob in her very first vision was...well - a blob.
Also Buffy's less than stealthy ways makes me laugh - Gage didn't seem like the brightest jock ever but he noticed she was tailing him pretty easily. She sucks at undercover, and it's totally cute how she sort of kinda tries but then gives up.
And I love how Xander saves her from the swim team. I may have my issues with Xander, his boundaries are poorly defined when it comes to Buffy and she never once told him to butt the hell out of her personal choices, but he was always there when the Slayer needed saving. Gotta respect that.

I miss scary ghost stories. The Fog isn't scary, just tense, and if weren't for the absolute beauty of Tom Welling, I'd have given up on it an hour ago. Lawdy, but I'd like him for Christmas.
