Feb. 11th, 2012 02:28 pmI should probably say right now that most of my answers will be very BtVS/AtS-centric because it's the world I apparently still live in. If I get a question that refers to a past couple or something, I'll probably go back to my fannish roots. But for the most part this might as well be a Jossverse meme. *shrugs*

Feb. 7th, 2012 11:06 pmI meant to start this meme on Feb. 1st - but as usual, the days got away from me. So I'm going to start tonight and just take it as it goes. But I will try my level best to post everyday - because I'm OCD and I hate skipping days on a meme.

What a problem!
Feb. 4th, 2012 09:59 pmI realize this isn't going to generate a lot, of sympathy, but the problem with getting a tax refund back is there are so many things I can put it towards.
The first thing is the most logical - pay off some bills. However, I haven't gotten new furniture in over ten years, and I'm kind of due. Not to mention my poor, overworked, highly abused refridgerator is getting smaller every day. It's making noises Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson couldn't explain.
And then there's the littlest voice in my head that's telling me to be practical and open a CD with it.
I am frozen with indecision.

Thanks so much to whoever nominated my Cordelia Chase essay at the The Wicked Awards. I consider it a very high compliment that you'd think that much of my writing.

I've had this journal for about six and a half years now and I'm still just under a thousand entries. I rarely find a good reason to post other than posting fic so I'm think about doing another 30 day meme, to push the number up over a thousand.

I know we don't speak as much as we used to but it always makes me happy to hear from you regardless of how and I always love reading your Dave Grohl *coughobsessioncough*, er, love. It's Sunday!
Jan. 15th, 2012 06:41 pmI have just recently finished some needed cleaning and now the smell of Pine Sol permeates my domecile - fooling me for a little while that everything is clean. Laundry is good to go, everyone is showered and rested (except me) and in a very short time, we are going out to gorge ourselves on Chinese food. YUM.
( there is a ridiculous amount of vomit talk beneath the cut, not for the squeamish )
And I downloaded three new songs yesterday.
Face to the Floor by Chevelle. Reminds me of Tool a lot, who are becoming my favorite band ever after Metallica.
Buried Alive by Avenged Sevenfold. This song is so like something Metallica would do, how could I not love it?
Narcissistic Cannibal by Korn, featuring Skrillex. Narcissistic Cannibal. Come on! What's not to love??
I love good rock music, don't you? *g*

I've been getting to know The Bionic Woman again on YouTube and I ran across this video a couple of months ago. The way the video is done recalls some of Joss' themes of BtVS - and when I got to know Jaime Sommers again I also noticed that she and Buffy Summers seem to share a few things in common - so much so I thought I'd repost it here and see what you all thought. Even Buffy's relationship with Giles is echoed a bit towards the end, and the theme of (re)claiming your life from the people who would steal it from you.
