damnskippytoo and I are hosting the Stranger Things Halloween Ficathon celebrating C/A this year. We have three writers signed up so far, including me. We'd love to have more, because there can never be enough spooky, scary, funny, cute Halloween themed fic involving our favorite couple - Cordelia/Angel. You do need to register with Stranger Things in order to view the thread (in Fanfic Help/Recommendations) and to sign up for the ficathon, but it's as easy and as quick as falling off a log, so I hope to see some LJers over there, signing up to write and leaving prompts and fic ideas.

Summary: Angel comes back from hell in s3 and turns all Tarzan to Cordelia’s Jane. Not much of a summary really, but then again, not much of a plot either. Set AU during Beauty and the Beasts.
Disclaimer: Not mine.
Notes: Written for the 2011 Stranger Things St. Valentine’s Day Smut-a-thon, based onstarlet2367 prompt “BtVS-era Cordy saves Angel from a beat-down after he returns from hell; smut ensues.” I think this is the second or third time I’ve been inspired by one of Ms. Starlet’s prompts, but that’s not surprising. She’s a genius at it. And she shares my kink for BtVS-era C/A interaction. My gratitude to damnskippytoo for her beta work, asking me tough questions and cleaning up the many grammatical mistakes it seems I will never stop making.
Warnings: The smut comes with a warning label for having a whiff of dubcon. Not something I dwelt on, but it’s there. Angel’s just back from hell and he’s, as the title suggests, feral. Tread carefully if you have triggers.

I guess that's why they call it the blues
Feb. 19th, 2011 06:19 pmMy beautiful nephew is leaving for Basic traning tomorrow - the boy went and joined the damned Navy of all things - and I'm so choked up right now I can't even speak. I was going to go over and see him and say goodbye but I suck at goodbyes. I hate them. I try never to say them. So I just left him the most embarrassing message on Facebook and I'm going to leave it like that. He'll be back to visit after Basic and I just have to remember that he's grown up and he's exploring his options and the world. I knew this day would happen sooner or later. C is very special to me. He was born when his dad was twenty and I was twenty-one. He was the catalyst for us growing up, the little baby that first taught me what unconditional love was and what it meant to take care of something completely dependent on me. I think he's the reason I didn't have a baby of my own until I was thirty-three. I knew exactly how they changed lives. LOL
In the end, this is a good thing. And if I tell myself that often enough, I might believe it.
I'm just praying he stays safe until that frontal lobe of his grows all in. He's only eighteen so it's going to take at least six or seven more years.
In happier news, I just now finished my smutfic and am about to send it off to DS to beta.
3800 hundred words just to get some va-jay-jay/peen scenes. Oy.
Now I can read the other entries with a clear conscience.
In the end, this is a good thing. And if I tell myself that often enough, I might believe it.
