Sunday rambling
Aug. 5th, 2007 12:39 pmSaturday was nice. We took our daughter to the Mid-State Fair, which ends today thank goodness. It's a great fair, but the extra traffic, the extra crowds in every single place we chose to eat, I'm not gonna miss that.
Aerosmith played the first night, and from what I heard, the tickets sold out in three hours, a new record. Several of my co-workers went, even though some of them, shockingly, were not familiar with their music. I mean, who hasn't heard Living on the Edge, Dream On, even the later stuff?
So for us there were no concerts, but there was pony rides, merry-go-rounds, roller coasters and endless other things that amused. I stayed on the ground taking pictures, and hubby took the girl up on everything. The girl was fearless, wanting to feed the horses (ugh, the smell), ride the ponies twice and got up on the Ferris Wheel multiple times. At four years old, I was afraid of my own shadow (and airplanes) but my daughter is ready to conquer life, apparently. *is proud*
We got home at nearly eleven o' clock last night and I stayed up until 3 a.m. listening to Secret Lovers and googling pics of CC and DB. Man, sometimes I think I forget just how gorgeous that woman is, until I see her photographs for Stuff and other men's mags. Made me want to write, it did (porn counts, right?) except I was nearly in a fugue state by that time and fell asleep over my keyboard.
Maybe today, after the cleaning and food shopping.
