Ahhh....

You know, I love the Friday before a four day holiday, but what's even better is that I'm actually looking forward to going back to work on Wednesday. I enjoy my job. I spent eleven years and some odd months conditioning myself to hate Fridays because I knew I'd have to go back to the job from hell two short days after that. But now? I smile when I start the car on Monday morning. Even though I race to get me and two kids ready in one lousy hour five days a week, and even though I still loathe leaving them with other people, when I drive down the highway, cursing the slow drivers who hog the fast lane, I'm in a good mood.

So why do I feel like the other shoe's about to drop right on my head?

I'm eating Cobb Salad, I have four episodes of Ghost Hunters to indulge myself with later, aaannnnd I'm watching Unruhe, an awesomely scary X-Files. I'll always remember when Mulder is on the phone with Scully, telling her about the killer being elevated in some way, and we see the suspect behind Scully's shoulder, up on stilts.

Perfectly executed. I still shiver when I think about that shot.

Also, the actor playing the suspect was very good. Talk about the shifty eyes!

Another thing I love about this episode is as much as Mulder's unconventional investigation helps him to find Scully, and helps to profile the killer, it is Scully's conventional police work that leads her to the suspect to begin with. Very awesome validation of Scully.
