Pondering on a rainy day
Mar. 2nd, 2009 01:22 pmKnow what I don't get?
Those "no apologies" icons.
I mean, I get the ones for Buffy or Spike or Xander - these characters tend to be controversial in their own way. So when I see "Buffy fan. No Apologies." or "Spike fan. No apologies." I get it. People tend to either hate or love or love them.
But what I don't get are the "Faith fan. No Apologies." icons. When did anyone ever have to apologize for loving Faith? And are there fans out there that hate her? I don't hang out at every Buffyverse comm, but I think I would have run across it at some point over the last....dear God, eight years?
Or "Angel-loving Spuffy." I've seen those too. I didn't know being a Spuffy meant you hated Angel, so that you needed a declaration of the opposite if you didn't.
Just something that's always puzzled me.
And it makes me wonder if I need a "Cordelia fan. No Apologies." icon as well. Then again that would be like acknowledging that some people hate Cordy, and those people are pretty much dead to me anyway, so I guess I don't need it after all.
