Guess it was my turn

I usually don't talk about my work in the place where I play but what the hay, it's a journal.

I received a lay off notice the day before yesterday.

It's the "Final" notice but there's no date. So far. So I'm sort of living under the Sword of Damacles right now. It sucks. Apparently they are targeting those with 15 months or less with the company. I've actually been with them for seventeen months so I think they aren't taking into account the fifteen weeks of maternity leave I had when they count up things.

I don't think that's very fair and I am going to dispute it, but I don't have a lot of hope. I can't even be angry because it could be so much worse. I'm mostly just mourning a little, because I've had such a great job, and I've been learning a lot. So much.

Damned economy. *shakes ineffectual fist*

So if I suddenly start posting a hella lot more than I usually do, you'll know why. *weak laugh*
