ST: Wrath of Kahn
Jun. 25th, 2009 06:58 pmI can't believe it's been twenty seven years since this movie came out. I remember it was one of the first ones we rented when we got our first VCR. I was about eleven. *sigh*
Not gonna lie, it looks a little dated. Kahn's crew looks like they moonlighted as Solid Gold dancers. Kirk's rug - oy. And hahahaha David Marcus walks onto the bridge during a cat and mouse game with an insane lunatic wearing a sweater tied around his shoulders like he's Larry on Three's Company. And the infamous Kaaaaaaahhhhhn....are there any words?
But oh.
Oh my.
That scene in Engineering between a dying Spock and an anguished Kirk....still one of the most moving things I've ever watched. Can still tear up a little at the way Jim says "no" like a little boy, his hand to the glass.
Also kinda wonder about it being played in the AU with Spock and Uhura. :D
