Well hell, I can still be surprised by this show

While researching BtVS s1 for a prompt idea, I discovered something.

Angel and Cordelia never formally met or exchanged any dialogue until SAR!!!

Does anyone else know about this?

*fluttery hands*

I always assumed that they exchanged words sometime during Never Kill A Boy On The First Date or possibly Angel. But after a thorough search of The Buffy Dialogue Database, I came up empty.

So their familiarity with each other in SAR is a mystery. Unless we assume they got to know each other some time after the fade out in Prophecy Girl.

Ideas.
