Boss #1 is trying to find any viable reason under the sun to excuse her (because he's just that much of a nice guy and hates being the baddie). He asked me today if she mentioned being sick after her last sick-out to me. She never did and I never asked - mostly because I hate going through the motions of pretending when we both know she wasn't sick at all.
Boss #2 is pissed off. If it was up to him, he said to Twilight Fan, CB would have been gone long ago. If CB does this for the rest of the week, I think he will try to remove her anyway, despite the near impossibility of it.
I'm pretty zen about her sick outs. I figure if she keeps this up, she makes herself unreliable and gives management a viable reason to boot her off her desk. Which would be win-win for me because I wouldn't have to pretend she isn't insane when she very clearly is.
If she manages to dodge this bullet, I just have to sit tight. She'll get pissed about something else sooner or later and do it again, and then it'll happen then instead of now.
I can wait.
ION, the 4th was good. I spent three days sleeping in and cleaning. Relaxing. Plus I ate some good food (that I didn't cook) and went to Borders where I insanely spent $63 on books. One for the girl, one for the boy, and three for Mama. I got Jane and the Madness of Lord Byron, which, as far as I can figure, is an RPF about Jane Austen solving a mystery with Lord Byron as the main suspect. Let's hope it doesn't suck. I also got the first two books from The Vampire Diaries trilogy. I read them twenty years ago and was fondly recalling them the other day so I figured what the hell? The third book I bought myself isn't worth the price I paid for it - it's some sort of vampire triumvirate between a Master vampire, a vampire hunter and a fledgling vampire. I skimmed it and it's basically one handed reading. Which, there's nothing wrong with that, but it's not what I wanted. I was hoping to find something along the same lines as the Black Dagger Brotherhood. Oh well.
Oh! A co-worker sent me some YouTube links to CGI recreations of real plane crashes - I have no idea why. I gave him my email so he could send me this one YouTube vid involving Darth Vader and instead he sends me a long, rambling explanation on why he never flies and those YouTube links. He's an extremely nice man but he's kinda socially awkward. Anyway, I was morbidly curious, so I clicked on them and proceeded to spend nearly ALL of Saturday clicking on the 'suggested links' for more plane crashes.
Yeah, I don't know either.
