2 episodes into the first disc of L&O: SVU s1 and already I'm looking for subtext between Benson and Stabler.

I am so predictable.

Also, in the second episode, I got to see Stabler in his speedo.

This is going to be a very fun ride.

And Superman is now my boyfriend - I told my husband last night.

When I was a kid, I had a really huge, multi-year crush on Superman. Mary Sued my way into some elaborately detailed fic as his girlfriend. But the thing was, as a twelve year old, he was the ultimate vanilla hero. He loved Lois and he rescued her and kissed her, and that was as far as it went. He was good and pure to me, inside and out.

In Superman Returns, he's like a stalker that can't let go - he listens in on her conversations, he uses his x-ray vision to peer into her home and the elevator at work. When she's out cold and soaking wet in the plane, he uses his powers to examine her internally for injuries, but it wasn't just a quick peek - he ran his x-ray eyes down her neck, over her chest to her belly and legs. It was a proprietory gaze, and fiance Richard knew it from the way he looked at Superman. He also didn't mind kissing her after taking her for a ride, though he knows she's engaged.

They took my childhood hero and twisted him, and the only way it would have hit my kinks harder was if he used his heat vision to dry her before he flew off to save Metropolis.
