tales from a fangirl

I want to thank whoever nominated a group of C/A fic (including mine) at the wicked_awards. They won in a couple of catagories, as I found out when I woke up this morning.

C/A fic generally doesn't end up at awards sites so I was more than pleasantly surprised to find a few of them winning or getting runner-up status. damnskippytoo, landrews, and anythingbutgrey are astonishingly adept writers who made us feel the heartbreak and joy, friendship, and deep love between Angel and Cordelia at various times during AtS through their fics.

Congratulations to them, and my deepest thanks to whoever nominated them (and me).

In other, more mundane news, it's been raining here since Friday, and will pretty much be coming down through next weekend. This makes me sad panda. Whether I like it or not, my mood is very much dependent on the weather, and sunshine and warmth makes me do the snoopy dance of joy on the inside. I can't wait to feel it again, and to smell all the things that come standard with warm weather - lawn mowers and the smell of cut grass, a dozen bar-b-ques going in the neighborhood, wind chimes dancing on the porch of my next door neighbor and the pool across the street filled with kids.

For now though, I'll just keep my head down and get through the rain and wind one day at a time, and be patient.
