30 Days of Angel - Day Twenty-Eight

samsomSexiest Scene.
In no particular order.

Cordelia: And what? I'm not soothing? (seductive) I can be soothing. I could soothe your ass off, pal.
It’s not much, just a line, but what makes it sexy to me is Cordy’s irritation with Angel for apparently finding something attractive in Fred, and her challenging tone when she says she can soothe him. And the totally hot-ass way he just looks at her. He’s not smiling. It’s not a joke. And it makes me think he’s thinking about exactly how she could soothe him.
Fight Training in the Billy teaser.
Weapons. Sweat. Whispery voices. Physical proximity. Two gorgeous bodies moving in near perfect sync. It’s got it all.
She tells him not to stiffen up. Why? Because he’s stiffened up before maybe? :D
Whatever the reason, it’s a telling little comment that speaks to their mostly unspoken awareness of each other. Or Cordelia’s awareness that Angel thinks she’s a hottie.
Oh, the possibilities.
Waiting in the Wings.
Ya’ll know the scenes right? Possessed by old lovers, feelings and emotions and other things…rising? Hot lines and the scorching foreplay dance to the front door? But the moment I rewind the most is when Angel lowers Cordelia onto the daybed and absolutely, and with no hesitation, pulls down her dress straps.
Nothing like a man who knows what he wants, right? :P
Awakening.
There’s a few seconds in Angel’s Cordelia fantasy, where he grabs her hands against the sheets and entwines their fingers together.
Unf.
Just UNF.
Now, this next one will be puzzling to most of you. It’s puzzling to me sometimes, but it’s just how I’m wired.
Soulless.
Angelus’ and ‘Cordelia’ make a deal.
I’m not talking about Proto-Jasmine bartering Cordelia’s body for information, that part is gross and wrong. But Angelus’ actually accepting the deal and telling the others what they want to know. Angelus reveals his feelings for Cordelia when he does that. Boy wants her. Bad enough to risk giving away the only real information he has, which, as it turns out, wasn’t much. And he’s apparently naïve enough in some twisted way to expect ‘Cordy’ to keep her end of the deal. Was never gonna happen, but man, do I love that he thought it was.

Their kiss.
There’s a line from The Princess Bride -
“Since the invention of the kiss there have only been five kisses rated the most passionate, the most pure. This one left them all behind.”
‘nuff said.
And lest you think I’m ALL about C/A, there is one more scene that brings sexy to AtS that doesn’t involve my ship:
Dear Boy.
Angel and Darla reconnect in an old convent.
This scene was such a revelation to me, because I’d only seen Darla and Angel interact in such a limited capacity before, when this scene aired, it hit me all at once. The blondes that littered AtS followed Buffy but Buffy wasn’t the beginning. Darla was. Buffy followed Darla. And in a major way, Angel’s whole relationship with Buffy was somehow about Darla.
Every angsty, hot thing B/A tried to be, Angel and Darla already was. That scene in Dear Boy was napalm hot, when he shoved her against the pillar, a place that used to be a convent, no less, and began to sniff and mouth her neck? Talk about burning up the screen.
It wasn’t healthy for Angel. Darla was a destructive force from the first moment he clapped eyes on her but I appreciated their heat and their connection from that moment on.
But, like my own experience in that particular dance, once it burns out, it’s gone. Which is why I didn’t include Angel’s “dark night of the soul” in this entry. That wasn’t about heat or need, just about misery. It’s amazing, really, the difference between the two scenes.
And that’s all for now folks!

This scene to me is so sexy if just for the way Charisma delivers that line. It kills me.

UNF! Probably my favorite part of that entire scene. Seriously! I just have a thing for entwined hands during sex, and the way he pushes their hands down on the bed...it does things to me.
But yes, agree with everything, except for that Angelus bit because I never thought about that. That's one I must rewatch. And now I'm feeling very much like rewatching certain scenes from WITW. *smirks*

Their fight training - wonderful.
wonderful,all of it - subtle,not-so-subtle, but all of it crackling with chemistry.
Lastly: Darla was THE FIRST BLONDE; Nina's the last.
Cordelia was the first crazy brunette; Fred's the last.
