Ickiest Scene.



ConCord.

THAT scene.

I’ve seen it once and I wanted to throw up in my mouth.

It’s the age disparity, it’s their previous relationship. Not ‘previous’ as in years ago, or months ago. ‘Previous as in less than a month ago.

There is just so much wrong with the whole two minute nightmare.

VK isn’t a bad looking young man (personal hygiene issues aside) and Charisma is the most beautiful woman on earth, you’d think that, at least superficially, it would be sort of pretty.

BUT NO.

It looked like a twelve year old girl on top of Cordelia, and neither one of them looked like the up and down motion going on (shudder) was the best thing ever.

But the best (worst) part was the look on Angel’s face as he watched them. Because it wouldn’t be a total goatfuck if Angel couldn’t be there, RIGHT JOSS?

Cordelia. Violated mind and body, and with witnesses too.

And you know, I really don't give a fuck if I'm supposed to find it as gross and disturbing as I do. That actually does nothing for my utter disgust over the abuse of my favorite character. And it says really cheap and unflattering things about the show if they need to go for such shock value. Jerry Springer and Sally Jesse Raphael do that shit. I expected better out of ME.

I had no idea I could still feel this much rage, all these years later.

There has to be a pill or cream or something.

Honorable mention – and such a distant second it’s not even visible in the rear-view – is Cordelia chugging Angel’s cup of blood in Expecting. If Angel, a vampire, is repulsed by it, it’s bad. But it was also kind of cute, the way she waddled away from the fridge. You could tell CC was enjoying the baby bump, just a little.

This. It's not even necessary to the arc, particularly; there were plenty of other potential reasons for Connor to rally behind "Cordelia"/Jasmine.

UGH. Just... remembering the scene pretty much makes me rage like nothing else. That's probably why I don't ever re-watch that particular episode.

On like, a really shallow level, it's a shame it's in that episode because -- until the last five minutes -- "Apocalypse, Nowish" is one of the best episodes of the whole series. And then it just... ugh. Ruined, right before the credits.

I think I remember you saying this in one of your meme posts? It sort of made me want to rewatch it because when ATS is good, it's really, really good. But the whole OHMYGODIKNOWWHAT'SCOMINGATTHEENDAGHHHHH kinda ruins the entire thing for me :|

Seriously, just turn it off when you see Lilah hug herself and shiver -- she's watching the rain of fire through the window of her office. Just turn off the episode there, and it's a masterpiece.

I don't think I've actually watched this scene in anything other than a vid or two (and even then it was under protest) - the very idea of this makes me want to spork my eyes out.

Yuck.

CC said she was uncomfortable and that's all I keep thinking of whenever I think about this scene. I just--No. If I can skip this during my rewatch, I'll be quite happy.
