samsomHow did I miss such an awesome band like Tool? Their music and lyrics are like walking through the deep, dark woods at midnight when you know the wolf is watching you, and the moon is following from overhead. Perfect, creeping songs to make a girl think of writery things.

And speaking of. I wrestle with that fine line of writing fic based on characters and situations found in the Buffyverse, and using those familiar faces to flesh out personal kinks. Where's the line because I think I may have fallen over it a time or two.

Sometimes you have to be fearless about falling into purple prose in order to find that line of narrative that will push your inner voice onto the screen and make your work sing.
Now I'm going to bed before I make even less sense.
