But just from watching the commercials, it looks like L&O: Criminal Intent has taken a sharp downward turn in quality since changing networks.

I hope not.

Totally disagree---I've seen the first four and they're even better, since cable standards are not as restrictive as network standards.

Since I was judging on just the commercials, then I'm happy to be wrong. :D

I was wondering, though, do the four detectives ever interact? To me, for a long, it seemed that each pair of partners existed independent of each other.

The only time the four of them interacted was in the two-hour show of last season, with a missing teenager. I haven't seen any plans for that, this year. (Logan was re-introduced at the end of season four, I believe.)

I like a lot of USA's original programming so I might just be biased but I think it is better on USA. Seems like they can do a little more storywise and I really like Alicia deWitt as the newb. Goran is as nutters as ever. LOL

And they were always produced by NBC Universal. The production company hasn't changed and I don't think the budget per episode has changed either. From what I read, it was NBC telling Dick Wolf he had to cut one of his L&O series and he opted to move it over. If I remember correctly too, USA is just a sister network to NBC (like FX with Fox, hence why they air Fox productions). I think though.

See, I thought maybe the way they were filming it was different. It looks less gritty, more shiny....if that makes sense.

Oh, it makes TOTAL sense. I get you. How they film is a lot of the appeal for me.

I haven't noticed a difference. But I am usually doing other things while I watch so I might not be catching it. Plus, its been a while since I saw a CI old school episode.

Oops, no. I haven't dl'd it yet. Which reminds me. I've got to dl Bones tonight because I've forgotten the past two nights. Got to make caps for bones_hush, and I need to do that tonight because I've got to go to my mom's tomorrow since I missed her birthday last week due to my icky sickiness.

So it may not be until Sunday that I get to watch Dexter if then considering the iffy nature of my fic. ;) I may need all day Sunday for repairs.
