I'm watching Ice Age: The Meltdown (um, with my daughter. I haven't completely lost it.) and actually feeling really sad because Manny (the Mammoth), Diego (the Sabertooth) and Syd (the Sloth) and the rest of the animals are struggling to surive the end of their world.

I guess I'll file this one under hormone induced.

Yesterday I took my mini-me to Target and bought her some winter things. It was more fun than shopping for myself, because hey, - no buyer's remorse! Plus, I found the kickiest pair of knee high, faux fur trimmed boots in brown leather for her.

I have to run my choices by her first, though, as she has already begun to reject clothes I had previously picked out for her, little brat. For the boots, though, she said she loved them and to please "put them in the cart, mommy." lol

I spent the weekend snagging several awesome C/A icons from nikkiwawa79 and xlivvielockex.

And last night, I broke out Waiting in the Wings after watching some C/A vids on YouTube, mainly Fallin' by damnskippytoo, because I had to watch the dressing room scenes again. Because my thought was that Angel was so incredibly assured when he pulled Cordelia's gown down off her shoulders. No hesitation, no akwardness. I thought that was really hot. I also spent too much time looking for the rebar scar on her belly when Angel very kindly led us down that velvet path with his mouth, but I couldn't find it.

And yes, this is what I do on Saturday nights.

that is funny i watched ice age and ice age; the meltdown with my son Saturday evening. in ice age the part where it look like diego has died choked me up every time i see it which really makes me feel stupid since i know he isn't really dead. also the fact i am a grown woman doesn't help at all.
i love the dressing room scene in WITW wish there would have been like it for C/A in the show.

I barely held it together when they were looking at the daddy, mommy and baby mammoths paintings on the cave wall and you just *knew* something bad happened to Manny's family.

It was in his eyes. *is sad*

Not hormone induced- I took my kids to see it on the big screen and I was *sooo* sad knowing that the Ice Age really did kill off so many critters. And sad that the end of the Ice Age is now going to take a whole lot more. The mammoths happily ever after just didn't carry much weight after having been to the tar pits.

that's exactly right. it was hard to enjoy knowing that wherever they were running to wasn't going to help and it really started to get to me that they spent nearly the whole movie trying to find safety, and knowing that no place was safe.

Plus, you know, there are no more mammoths or sabertooth tigers so............stupid movie. :(
