Know when not to accidently throw your car into neutral would be?
Going up 1600 feet on Cuesta Grade at 55 miles an hour.
Then, when when trying to correct it, best not to panic and accidently throw it into reverse.
*headdesk*
That was last week. My cell had been flung to the passenger floorboard by some overenthusiastic application of my breaks and I foolishly tried to get it back while speeding up the center lane.
Not my shiningest moment.
Then this morning, I misjudged the distance to the right turn into my workplace and nearly took it on two wheels. Lots of witnesses to that embarrassing squeal of tires.
For years now, the friends that have rode with me in a car have sworn never to do it again and I always end up in the passenger seat because no one will let me drive. I always used to get offended but now that I'm driving longer distances to get to work, I'm beginning to think they may have had a point.
Not that they'll ever find out about any of this.

Date: 2008-01-16 03:38 am (UTC)Last night, I kept dreaming about the baby's foot sticking out of my back and that he was moving so much you could see the outline of his body through my belly.
But my driving? Like it wasn't bad enough??
*cries for the other commuters*
